The director of development is responsible for coordinating the fundraising strategies for institutions to achieve budgeted and specified goals.

A development operations manager focuses on the maintenance and analysis of an organization’s fundraising database. They process all information about revenue from donors, and they track all transactions including deposit and entry into the database.
Responsible for maintaining donor information and mailing lists, they produce acknowledgment letters, invoices, tax receipts, and other written materials. The development operations manager designs reports to guide the organization’s strategic planning while ensuring departmental goals and objectives are on track. They also are involved in planning and logistics for special events throughout the year.
