Graphic Designer

Also known as Visual Designer, Web Designer, Design Coordinator

Graphic designers produce visual content that communicates specific concepts to an audience.

A graphic designer works to conceptualize, plan, design, and produce visual content to effectively communicate their clients’ ideas to an audience. Designers use typography and pictures to meet clients’ specific needs, and they must ensure that their work aligns with the client’s vision. Designers may work for a company or under a contract as a freelance artist.

In the music industry, graphic designers develop the overall layout and production design of websites, marketing and branding materials for clients ranging from major orchestras to solo artists. For each project, designers must be in clear communication with the client to incorporate any recommended changes into final designs. Once the project is finalized, the designer reviews designs for errors before printing or publishing them.
