A registrar oversees all data and records for students and alumni and manages all administrative processes related to the student at a school or university.

A registrar is responsible for the maintenance of all students’ and alumni data and records. They oversee administrative processes related to the student lifecycle at a school or university. The registrars facilitate enrollment services including student registration, course evaluations, degree audits, degree completion, and tuition and fee billing. They work to ensure these processes are completed in compliance with all relevant state and federal laws and regulations.

Collaborating with the school/university’s senior academic leadership, they develop the academic calendar, produce the course catalog, and manage other aspects of academic planning including curriculum, scheduling, and analytics.
